One more shot from my trip to Yellowstone back in 09 with my Dad and my brother. This is actually a find which I thought was lost but I accidentally copied some files from my backup-body somewhere they did not belong and haven't found them until today. Sadly all the shots I took with my K20D from that evening (after shooting "A September Sundown") are still nowhere to be found and I am very convinced that I lost those for good.
Still I am so glad that I can share this picture with you. It was one of the most impressive sights that I ever witnessed in a moment of pure serenity. Most other visitors had left beforehand when the rain hit the Midway Basin half and hour earlier and my companions and me just bared with it instead of leaving since I was hoping to shot some great sights with the magnificent evening light which I obviously did. To bad I wasn't as experienced as I am today and didn't have my current equipment I might have been able to capture something more intense than this shot. But that how people always think in retrospective I guess. Either way I hope you enjoy.
