_____Random Info
Another night time shot from Portugal - this time though it's not on the coastline but on top of Portugals highest elevation Mt. Torre. Motif is the old observatory right on the peak of the mountain; next to it is also a new one, but I found that to be rather difficult to photograph because the only perspective with a nice foreground had the moon right behind it leaving a sky with almost no stars.

This was actually the very first spot that SvenMueller and I visited in Portugal after driving through half of France and entire Spain during the daytime. I was a little disappointed by the fact that even at an elevation of more than 2000m there was still a pretty high humidity and that we had clouds as well - although not much it still made star trails impossible. Thus I tried to get a simple exposure with some of the stars and the observatory and feel quite happy with the results. To bad we didn't have new moon. I bet the sky would've looked even more impressive.

P.S. The light you can sea near the ridge comes from all the little villages spread across the plains at the bottom of the mountain as you can see on my ID here:

Actually there weren't even that many due to the full moon and strong humidity. But still more then I'll ever get here in Germany. :D
