_____Random Info
This is the fourth installment of my welsh waterfall series. This time I bring you Melincourt Falls or in welsh Sgwd Melincwrt. I was really lucky with the lighting conditions, definitely one of the very few times something actually worked out the way I had it in mind. I always wanted to shot a sun star above the waterfalls gentle long exposed water as a strong contrast; and on top I even got some decent nice weather clouds.

I must admit though that this was probably the hardest shoot I ever had with water getting on my lens and filters all the time since the wind was blowing through the valley constantly. At times I was really screaming mad because it ruined my shots all the time. I did 4 different compositions and each with this one being a little higher up I had to deal with the splatters on the camera. I ended up doing about 20 shots for each composition and then merging them in PS after making sure the splatters weren't in the same place so I could get rid of most of them in post work. Actually a pretty handy way of dealing with issues like this. Also I had to try to keep the exposures as short as possible so splashes don't get to much in each exposure. But I assume it worked out quite nicely. I hope you enjoy.

Oh, and by the way the falls are about 24 meters high, even though it doesn't look like it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melincou…

Note: I edited this on a regular Acer Laptop so I'm not quite sure about the tonalities and color of the image since Acer monitors aren't the best for editing. So I'd appreciate people to tell me if I got things right just by judging the histogram. :D
