_____Random Info
One of the coastal shots from my recent trips to Wales. I got up at 4:00am to drive a little fruther along my route ending up at Penmon Point at pre-dawn to shot some stars above the sea. Sadly the clouds dissembled the sky completely and it wasn't until dawn had arose that the clouds slowly started to vanish resulting in these nice colors and gentle flow across the sky. One of the better sunrises I've witnessed during my stay in Wales for sure. And I really like tidal pool foregrounds at low angles. Hope you enjoy.

Note: I edited this on a regular Acer Laptop so I'm not quite sure about the tonalities and color of the image since Acer monitors aren't the best for editing. So I'd appreciate people to tell me if I got things right just by judging the histogram.

schönes bild, der Pool im VG macht echt was her!

Thats a rather stubby looking Lighthouse. Unless its just then distance away you are, or the angle?

Very nice colours. Love pinky/purple sunsets :aww:

:iconnicolasalexanderotto:
Haha, I guess that's partially due to the barrel distortion of the lens I used. But I don't have money for a better one although the lens is now broken anyway. :(

Glad you like the colors. :)

Very nice shot, Alex.
It seems a tiny bit dark, maybe 1/2 stop.
That's not really a criticism, just my personal taste and I'm sure that many people would disagree with me.
Reply
:iconnicolasalexanderotto:
Thanks dude, you may be right about the half stop, still I actually deliberately darkened the foreground a little because it seems to artificial when it's brighter. It wouldn't really reflect the actual lighting conditions during the shoot that's why I went for a darker approach. When I get the time I can send you a brighter version though, so you can see what it looks like for yourself. ;)

I understand, Alex.
The key point is that you made a conscious, considered decision.
Those little tweaks are what makes a photo a truly personal creation.
